We’re back with a whimper as we dust off our Christmas and New Year excesses to bring you 35 minutes of rambling nonsense from one of the country’s least listended to comedy trios.

Via the magic of technology Ben joins in from his London hide-away, as Cliff tells us about the difficulties in making arrangements with a taxi driver, we discuss the Golden Globes and question whether Ricky Gervais went far enough, and we wonder if Liz Jones is actually a comedy creation from an as-yet unseen genius.

It’s birthdays for Jim Carey, Al Capone, and Shabba Ranks, and we get mixed up between Cheggers Plays Pops and Mike Reid’s Runaround.  Angry tells us about his Paul Young haircut, and we wonder how cinema would have been different if James Earl Jones hadn’t replaced David Prowse as the voice of Darth Vader.

The podcast finally reaches a milestone appreciated by the teenage boy inside all of us, as we record show number 69.  A fact which we only mention a mere two or three dozen times.

This week we see the return of Ben and our familiar format, as Cliff tells us how to spot if someone fancies you, Ben plays wank-word bingo, and Angry tests them both with a political quiz in which they must determine if a manifesto policy comes from the BNP or Jesus’ own Christian Party.

All this plus we discover the scariest insect known to man, why John F Kennedy’s speech writers weren’t ‘all that’, and we watch the funniest Anthea Turner video on the Internet.  It was a new one to Angry, and is shown below for those of you not familiar with it.

Podcast 68 arrives hot on the heels of Drunkcast 2, and although Ben takes a barely-deserved week off, Cliff and Angry are joined on the phone by blogging celebrity and soon-to-be-released author, JonnyB!!!

In between flashbacks to Friday evening’s live show, we chat to the man behind the Private Secret Diary, Alex Marsh, about his new book (Sex and bowls and rock and roll), his very first band, his most prized lyrics, and whether his chickens have turned him into Rocky Balboa.

All this plus tales of Fat Jim being drunk in a cinema after being insulted by a seventy year-old woman (it doesn’t happen as often as you might think it would), we talk Luxembourg, and also discuss why Irving Berlin was the 1930’s Take That.
